Punching and precision micro hole machining are common in manufacturing processes, used for precision suction nozzles, nozzles, flow valves, air holes, shaft holes, and laser processing.
The product has various shapes and can be customized for processing. The materials are different, such as aluminum alloy, copper, steel, hard alloy, ceramics, glass, etc. The punching method and processing technology are also completely different.
Common punching processes include:
1. Drilling and processing.
Depending on the hardness of the material, HSS drill bits, tungsten steel drill bits, diamond drill bits, etc. can be selected. Common machining diameters range from 1 to 20mm.
2. Laser machining.
Laser processing has requirements for material thickness, which should generally not exceed 10mm. Otherwise, it requires high laser power, easy deformation during processing, irregular cutting edges, and horn shaped holes (the thicker the product, the more obvious).
3. Water cutting processing.
This is for ordinary steel thick plates with a lot of cutting materials and low accuracy. Generally, steel plates with a thickness of 20mm or less have an accuracy of 0.2-0.5mm
4. Electric discharge machining and wire cutting.
This has a high accuracy, which can generally be controlled within 0.02-0.05mm. Slow threading can even cut smooth surfaces with an accuracy of less than 0.02.
Among them, in precision manufactured micro hole parts, micro hole processing (holes below 0.1mm) is very difficult to process with ordinary drill bits, as it requires finer drill bits and higher rotational speeds to be processed, and the tolerance is not easy to control, making the drill bit very easy to break.
This is a high-risk and complex manufacturing process.
